..... after only being here about 7 months. Better late than Never. Wanted to share some pictures, thoughts,.... hopes, dreams ect. and figured this was the best way in the modern age. Hope to see you logging in soon and face to face in the not too ditant future - only about 8 weeks and I should be back in DC.
Life is pretty good here at Camp Lemonier in Djibouti, Africa - my own Containerized Living Unit (CLU) with bathroom and shower, Food is Fine (varied, plentiful and tasty) and best of all NO one shoots at us here in Djibouti - what more could one wish for.
In all seriousness, have tried to make the best of things and most free time has been spent trying recapture some degree of fitness from my youth. I have had a couple rare opportunities like summitting Kilimanjaro (definately once in a lifetime) and swimming with whalesharks..... More to follow.
